Like children signing Christmas carols
While snow falls from a moon lit sky
If you closed your eye’s and listened real hard
You swear, you can hear old Saint Nick flying by

The smiles on people’s faces
And the sparkle in their eye’s
Oh Yes, it was the Holiday season
To this, you couldn’t deny

Like the greeting of a neighbor
Or the helping of a friend
For those who are less fortunate
Whose troubles have no end

Like showing kindness to a stranger
Or giving a toy to a child in need
A hug, a kiss, or just a simple pat on the back
Is all one might truly need

To share a special moment
With someone that you love
To watch a child’s eye’s light up a room
Cause Santa dropped in from up above

To give thanks to the Lord
For all that he has given you
For those moments when you needed him
And he came shining through for you

To give your friends the most special gift
By letting them know how much you really care
By asking the Lord to Love and protect them
And doing this through the Gift of Prayer

People know longer understand the meaning of Christmas
It’s the birth of Jesus Christ, that’s what it’s truly all about
Our Lord, who gives you his eternal love

Sadly now it has all come down to a simple prayer,
A shot of whiskey and his .22,
In the shadows where he fights his fears,
Holding onto hope as the night draws near.

Years pass quickly in this old man’s tired dreams,
Hurt and confused from all that it was, and all that it still seems.
But still there’s a chance to turn these wrongs into rights once again,
In the silence of the night, he seeks to comprehend.

Sadly now it has all come down to a simple prayer,
A shot of whiskey and his .22,
Wondering if he’s truly done his best,
With bruised, battered hands he’s searching for the rest.

With open fields of beauty in front of his tortured mind,
Knowing there are more uncertain journeys throughout even more uncertain times.
It’s been a life of constant hell, this old man has traveled through,
Every moment a reminder of the battles he once knew.

He recalls the laughter that used to fill the air,
The warmth of love that slowly turned to despair,
Yet in the depth of sorrow, he finds a flicker of light,
A beacon in the darkness guiding him through the night.

Sadly now it has all come down to a simple prayer,
A shot of whiskey and his .22,
Each sip a memory, each prayer a plea,
Holding on tight to the man he used to be.

He wipes away the tears, takes a deep breath, and sighs,
In this quiet moment, he hears the answers in the skies.
So if you find yourself in a moment of despair,
Just remember this old man, his prayer, and whiskey shared.

With his hands still tightly folded, hope will always stay true,
A simple prayer and a shot, it’ll see you through.

Tried so hard to walk this path of grace,
But forgiveness is fleeting, I’m just stuck in this place.
Who am I to judge, when the mirror shows me,
The faults and the failures that no one can see.

I’m hanging on for dear life, these eyes have seen better days,
Tired of strangers’ pats on the back, telling me it’s okay.
Just a fool in my world of foolishness, for everyone to see,
Crushed by a spirit that has given up, it’s no longer free.

Shaking like a storm, scared like a little child,
Confused for a lifetime, my thoughts running wild.
Between moments of Hell, haunted by my fears,
I’m praying like a madman, with my Bible and a beer.
If I make it through today, maybe I’ll find a brand new start,
But the pain weighs heavy, it’s tearing at my heart.

I’m hanging on for dear life, these eyes have seen better days,
Tired of strangers’ pats on the back, telling me it’s okay.
Just a fool in my world of foolishness, for everyone to see,
Crushed by a spirit that has given up, it’s no longer free.

But life keeps on going, even when it’s rough,
I’ll sing my sad song, ’cause that’s just tough love.
Every bruise and battle brings me closer to light,
As I fight through the darkness, I’m ready for the fight.

Humbled by my journey, I’ve learned to forgive,
Though the past tries to haunt me, I’m learning to live.
With each new dawn, I’m gathering my strength,
Knowing that tomorrow, I’ll go to any length.
So I’ll raise my glass high, to the battles I’ve won,
With my Bible and a beer, I’ll face the morning sun.

I’m hanging on for dear life, these eyes have seen better days,
Tired of strangers’ pats on the back, telling me it’s okay.
Just a fool in my world of foolishness, for everyone to see,
Crushed by a spirit that has given up, it’s no longer free.

So here’s to the struggle, and all the pain I feel,
I’m finding my way back, and learning to heal.
Between moments of Hell and a lifetime of fears,
I’ll keep praying like a madman, with my Bible and a beer.

Please help me Lord, I’m begging on my knees
Even whiskey can’t wash away this deep root of unease
I ve traveled this rough road full of heart ache and lies
With a simple Prayer I m reaching for the sky

I ve watched my dreams fade Like smoke in the night
This old mans journey feels like an endless fight
I pour another shot wishing for a little grace
But these shattered feelings linger and never leave a trace
It’s been a life of constant hell what more can I endure
I hold on to that hope, but my heart is feeling pure

Please help me Lord, I’m begging on my knees

For every moment passes feels like another chance to mend
With your guidance Lord I’ll find love around me again

With my heart in the open tryin to find where I belong

What will I do, or even worse, what can I say?
Each moment lingers, like the shadows in the gray.
Who will I talk to, to help get me through?
Who will be there when the night feels so blue?

Those cold and lonely nights, they haunt my mind,
Searching for comfort, but solace I can’t find.
To hold me, love me, make me feel alright,
Oh, the emptiness echoes, it’s a desperate fight.

The unstoppable talks within myself over you,
Every memory’s a ghost that cuts like the truth.
This pain runs so damn deep, like I never felt before,
From that moment you left, it shattered my core.

With a bottle in my hand and sadness deep in my eyes,
I beg you, Lord, please help me-cause even whiskey can’t make me cry.
I’m lost in the clouds, struggling to see,
Fighting through this fog that’s taken over me.

Those cold and lonely nights, they haunt my mind,
Searching for comfort, but solace I can’t find.
To hold me, love me, make me feel alright,
Oh, the emptiness echoes, it’s a desperate fight.

Maybe just one last scream, one last tear,
Hell, even one last sigh, I could shed, my dear.
This heart’s a battlefield, broken but still strong,
Holding onto memories, forever they belong.

I keep replaying every moment shared,
But now it’s just silence; it feels so unfair.

As I struggle to see it clearly, fighting my way,
Buried by a maze of confusion that colors my days.

Why’d you have to leave? Why’d you have to go?
I’m still here in this pain, wishing you’d just show.
Every laugh we had, every kiss under the stars,
Now it feels like I’m carrying these heavy scars.

Those cold and lonely nights, they haunt my mind,
Searching for comfort, but solace I can’t find.
To hold me, love me, make me feel alright,
Oh, the emptiness echoes, it’s a desperate fight.

So I raise my glass to the memory of your name,
Hoping that one day, I’ll find peace from this pain.
But until that day comes, I’ll still ask why,
Dear Lord, help me-’cause even whiskey can’t make me cry.

Like a part-time angel, they lend you their heart,
With kindness and love, they play their small part.
It’s God’s little message, when you feel so lost,
That hope is still shining, no matter the cost.

So here’s to the ones who show up just in time,
A friend who listens, a heart so divine.
Holding you close when life feels like a fight,
Those part-time angels, they light up the night.

With open arms, they hear your deep sighs,
They pick you back up when you’ve fallen from highs.
No judgment passed, just laughter and grace,
Every moment spent with them is a warm embrace.

So when the darkness is creeping in your soul,
Look for your angel; they’ll help you feel whole.
For every tear that has streamed down your cheek,
They’ll bring back your smile, they’ll help you feel meek.

So here’s to the ones who show up just in time,
A friend who listens, a heart so divine.
Holding you close when life feels like a fight,
Those part-time angels, they light up the night.

And when our days come to an end,
And it’s time to part ways, my dear friend,
Just know each night, I’ll send up a prayer,
Thankful for the angel that was always there.

I’ll cherish the moments, the laughter, the grace,
Those little memories time won’t erase.
When I think of my days that seem shadowed by doubt,
I’ll remember the warmth, the love shining out.

So here’s to the ones who show up just in time,

When my days seem low and my spirits are weak,
I’ll remember the angel God sent in my peak.
Her gentle touch and that simple smile,

When the days feel long and the nights stretch wide,
Be the light, be the warmth, be someone’s guide.
We can change a life with just a simple smile,
So let’s hold their hands and make it worthwhile.

Give hope to those who are hopeless,
Bring peace to the weary souls,
Stand tall like a pine in the forest,
With love, we can make these broken hearts whole.

Show faith to those who are seeking the truth,
Offer honesty to heal the wounds of youth.
Let’s share our wisdom wrapped in gentle care,
To ease their burden, show them we’re there.

For every tear they’ve cried in the dark,
Let’s be the fire that ignites a spark.
Understanding’s a treasure that we all can bring,
To lift them up and make their spirits sing.

Give hope to those who are hopeless,
Bring peace to the weary souls,
Stand tall like a pine in the forest,
With love, we can make these broken hearts whole.

Find a path for those who are lost in despair,
Bring light to the shadows, show them someone cares.
Give strength to the weak, let them know they’re not alone,
Bring a smile to those faces, let our love be known.

Explain to the ones who are seeking for answers,
Listen to stories that carry their dancers.
We all have burdens, let’s share what we can,
Pray for the weary, for every woman and man.

Together we’ll rise, hand in hand we will stand,
Lift each other high with a simple command.
Let the love flow like rivers through mountains and streams,
United in prayer, we can live out our dreams.

Give hope to those who are hopeless,
Bring peace to the weary souls,
Stand tall like a pine in the forest,
With love, we can make these broken hearts whole.

So together we’ll pray to the Father above,
To the Son who showed us a life filled with love.
And the Holy Ghost whispers, ‘You’re never alone,’
In a world that may shatter, we’ll build our own home.

With hands of hope, we’ll carry the light,
In the battle of darkness, we’ll make it alright.
Bring love, bring joy, let’s turn this around,
With kindness and grace, our hearts will resound.

The journey is long, with ups and the downs,
Wandering hearts in these old dusty towns.
The struggles can tighten, like a noose around fate,
But keep pushing on, just don’t hesitate.

If I only knew, why it felt so alone,
When I reached out for You, felt like You’d never shown.
These screams to heaven echo through despair,
But through it all, I know You always care.

If I only knew the truth behind the pain,
That through the darkest nights, I could dance in the rain.

Confusion wrapped tightly, with a ragged soul,
Tattered and torn, was I ever whole?
In moments of weakness, I cried out for grace,
Searching for signs, wanting to see Your face.

All the hurt felt like a heavy chain,
Couldn’t see the sunshine, just the pouring rain.
But one day amidst, my doubts and my fears,
I shouted Your name, released all my tears.

If I only knew, the love You freely give,
That even in struggles, in Your strength I can live.
These words that You whispered turned my night into day,
Don’t worry, my son, I’m right here to stay.

If I only knew, every heartache we face,
Leads us closer to You in Your warm embrace.
In the quiet moments, when darkness surrounds,
I reach for Your light, and the joy can be found.

Every tear that I shed, every lonely night,
Leads me back to You, passes through the light.
I learned through the struggle, every stumble and fall,
Leaning on You, Lord, You’ll help carry it all.

If I only knew, that Your love would remain,
Every time I falter, You’d relieve all my pain.
With faith as my guide, I will navigate these roads,
The weight of the world, Lord, You’ll help me unload.

So I’ll walk this journey, hand in hand with You,
With every heartbeat, I know we’ll make it through.

So I’ll keep moving forward, through the highs and the lows,
With You as my anchor, I’m ready to go.
If I only knew that the best is yet to come,
Walking this journey, I’m never alone.

Being kind to others, it’s a true gift from the heart,
When we give that love away, it’s a brand new start.
We need to show up for those who’re feeling low,
Let ’em know we’re there, help their spirits grow.

Let love guide your way, may kindness be your light,
Fill the world with peace as we walk into the night.
Let joy fill your heart and peace fill your soul,
And let faith stay with you, that’s what makes us whole.

Now, no matter how much time we’re granted here,
Deep down inside, we’re always wanting near,
To those dreams that we held so tight yesterday,
But the truth is some don’t matter anymore today.

Those material things, well they don’t hold sway,
What counts is the love that we give away.
So I raise my hands, and I ask for grace,
Want my legacy to be kindness in this place.

Let love guide your way, may kindness be your light,
Fill the world with peace as we walk into the night.
Let joy fill your heart and peace fill your soul,
And let faith stay with you, that’s what makes us whole.

For those things that were important but fade like the dawn,
I wanna leave a mark where kindness can live on.
Every smile, every hug, every tender touch,
Spreading love around, it don’t take much.

This journey I’ve chosen is my daily prayer,
To love them the way the Lord loves me, I swear.
I’ll love myself too, and let kindness lead,
In this crazy world, it’s the truest creed.

Lord, please know I love you and thank you for this life,
Through the highs and the lows, through the joy and the strife.
I want my heart to shine just like a beacon bright,
As I walk down this road, I’ll spread kindness like light.

The gift of kindness, it’s the greatest of all,
Let’s lift each other up, together we stand tall.

Let love guide your way, may kindness be your light,
Fill the world with peace as we walk into the night.
Let joy fill your heart and peace fill your soul,
And let faith stay with you, that’s what makes us whole.

So hold on to each moment, cherish what you can,
For the love that we give will forever stand.
