WHY THE HEBREW CALENDAR?
This book is manual for those who want to draw close to the heart of God using His Hebrew calendar as a basis for understanding the Father and His love for His people. This is not an exhaustive theological look at the differences between the Hebrew and Gregorian calendar. This is for those people who prophetically want to know what God is doing in the universe daily according to His Hebrew calendar. Psalm 19:1 (NIV) says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
The Hebrew calendar is a resource that gives you God’s daily desire and reveals where He is speaking and working to grow you into the likeness of Jesus. This book helps readers who know nothing about God’s Hebrew calendar to come into alignment with who He is and where He wants us to join Him daily in knowing ourselves and knowing Jesus more.
As a prophet of the Lord, I believe God wants His people to know the times and seasons practically and logically so they are not overcome with legalistic details that don’t further their relationship with Him. We must be biblically sound, but we don’t need details that overrule our relationship with God by not giving Him a chance to speak to us personally. This book is designed to grow your relationship with God and His heart for you. If you want more exhaustive resources you can find them as stated; but I believe the Lord wants humankind to develop into One New Man (Humanity)—both Jew and Gentile.
In Ephesians 2:11-22 (NIV), the apostle Paul shares:
Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
This book introduces both Gentile Christians and Jews who are unfamiliar with the power of the Hebrew calendar, by presenting a biblical and prophetic understanding of the Hebrew calendar and God’s design for His people and His ways. This acquaints us all as one body with Yeshua and His love as we follow Him daily with a devotional revealing what He is doing in the universe. Since this book is based on the lunar calendar, you will become a researcher in how the moon is viewed out your window. How do you see the moon monthly? Is it hardly noticeable, a crescent in the night sky, or a full moon shining brightly?
When the sages tried to determine the first day of every month, they had to send the religious leaders out to look at the sky to see if it was a new moon, which is very pale and not well seen. I encourage you to do the same. Tonight you can look heavenward to see if there is a pale, faded moon which is new, a left crescent or a right crescent moon, or if it is full, which always happens around the 14th-16th of each Hebrew calendar month. Then you will know if you are at the beginning of a new month, or the middle, or near the end and it is about to turn again.
When the earth sits between the sun and moon, it is a full moon; when the moon sits between the sun and earth, it’s a new moon. This is how they determined the months in days of old— and it is still this way today. This is a revelation of the synodic month, which you can observe every night.
My heart’s desire for you is to learn to love God in the day and night sky and learn that He is the One who created the heavens and the heavens shall declare His name. Let us become practitioners of our daily faith walk and enjoy seeing what God is doing in the sky and in our hearts at the same time. Then we will know what He desires of us and where we should meet Him.
In John 4:34 (KJV), Jesus says, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” Then again, in John 5:19 (NIV), “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.” We cannot meet Him where He desires every day if we don’t know what He is doing in us and around us.
I pray this book opens the eyes of your heart to Him inside you and around you. As we get closer to His return, I believe prophetically He will expect His people to know His special times, seasons, the feasts of the Lord, new moons, etc., so we as Jew and Gentile can celebrate who He is and His magnificence. This book will enlighten and draw you into that type of daily relationship with Him.
My prayer for you is that you come to love Him as much as He loves you through these encouraging daily prophetic revelations straight from His heart for His people.
PRAYER FOR YOUR JOURNEY
Lord, I ask You to bring divine revelation and Your sweet presence each day as my beloved friend reads the daily prophetic revelation. I thank You, Lord, that You wanted to draw closer to us, so You gave us the new moons, full moons, heavens in the sky, and all that was created on earth for us to know You more. You are the Creator of the universe; let us learn Your love for us as we grow more in your times and seasons. We want to be like You and meet You where You are, so please draw our hearts close to You in reflection as You bring forth this revelation daily of who You are in the Scriptures and the heavens.
We are grateful for Your Son, Jesus, who died to give us the chance to have relationship with You every day in Your Word and in the times and seasons of our lives. We worship You, Father, and are grateful for Your daily bread of the Word of God. We open our hearts to a word that will reveal You to our family, friends, city, state, and nations. We love You, Lord, and we lift our voices in adoration of Your name Jesus, Yeshua, the Christ Messiah. Thank You for uniting us to the Father and sharing with us Your heart!
REVELATION OF THE AGES
Before we jump into the daily prophetic revelations, I want to share important prophetic revelation for the years to come. This knowledge will help you grasp the heart of God for the “ages” to come. This revelation will advance your understanding of what year you are in today and how you must understand what we are approaching as our days draw near to Christ’s return.
Presently we are in the years after 2000, but according to the Hebrew calendar we are in the years of 5700. It has been more than 5,700 Hebrew years since the birth of creation and the making of Adam and Eve in the Garden. The typical word “age” refers to roughly between 2,000 and 2,100 years. Although some argue it is only 1,000 years, and still to some only one age has passed and the second one is coming. No matter your position, we can all agree according to the Hebrew calendar, we are approaching 5,700 at the time of this writing and almost 6,000 years.
Matthew 24:3 (NIV) says, “As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. ‘Tell us,’ they said, ‘when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?’” The Great Commission that Jesus spoke of says in Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV):
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The apostle Paul speaks of the “ages” as in the end of one period and beginning of another and the wisdom of the Spirit. This was after the death of Jesus in between the years 55-56—a transition point in the new “age.” Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 (NIV):
We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
