ADAR – Month of celebration and happiness
This is the twelfth month of the religious calendar and the sixth month of the civil calendar. Adar is the Hebrew word adir, which means strength and power.
Please note: If you are reading this in a leap year where there are 2 Adars, please return to this chapter again and re-read to prepare you for the month of Nisan.
Adar 1 in a leap year is called Adar Bet and Adar 2 in a leap year is called Adar Aleph. Adar Aleph becomes the primary month in a leap year due to the fact that it holds the sacred Jewish holiday of Purim. The Adar that comes directly before Nisan in any year is the Adar Aleph. It is as if Adar 1 is inserted as an additional month.
If you are reading this in Adar 2, know that Adar 2 (Adar Aleph) is considered to be the thirteenth month of the religious calendar. The reason for Adar 2 is that within 19 years, there will be 7 years, usually once every three years, on a Hebrew calendar, which are considered leap years, or years in which the lunar calendar must be adjusted to add another month before the new religious month of Nisan begins. For your reading pleasure and not to confuse you with this information, simply just read Adar two times and you will be all ready for the month of Nisan.

Note from Peterwill:
To give you a flavour of Candice’s amazing book “365 Prophetic Revelations From The Hebrew Calendar” I selected one day from each Hebrew month – the seventh day. The number seven symbolizes completion and perfection, especially associated with God’s creation and rest on the seventh day.
ADAR 7
Historically and interestingly, this is the day when Moses was born, and 120 years later he died on this day. Prior to his death, Moses ministered to the people for 37 days from book of Deuteronomy to prepare them for entering the Promised Land.
Every day, broken people surround you. Every day, you have the opportunity to bring life and healing. God positioned you for this purpose—to touch others today with His word! In the book of Acts, Peter and John came across a lame beggar who was desperate for handouts. Peter said to him, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6 NKJV). I challenge you today to use the gifts God has given you. Each person has been freely given something, and when we use that “something,” people are touched by Jesus and changed!
