SIVAN – Month of Revelation

Sivan is the third month of the religious calendar and the ninth month of the civil calendar. Sivan is an Assyrian name and means joy or month of harvest and ripening of grain. Exodus 19:1-2 (KJV): “In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai. For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.”

Historically the Feast of Shavout or Festival of Weeks continues today. Historically this was the day that Moses was found in the water as a baby when he was 3 months old and brought to live in the house of Pharaoh.

In both Exodus and Acts we read that the Lord came to speak to those whom He had called, set apart, anointed and appointed. You are called to be a Kingdom priest and a holy nation. God has written His laws on your heart, mind, and soul. You are called, set apart, anointed, and appointed. When you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, He then deposits His Holy Spirit inside you. At this moment you have dunamis power, the power that comes from kratos power, the sovereign dominion power of God.
