TISHRI – Month of the beginning of the Hebrew Civil Calendar
This is the first month on the civil calendar and the seventh month on the religious calendar.
This is the second major new year on the Hebrew calendar, and starts the civil calendar. Tishri or Tishrei is a Babylonian name. In the Hebrew Bible it is called Ethanim or the seventh month from Nisan.
Joel 2:15 (NIV): “Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.”
Tishri is a new start and a time when we prepare our hearts for the promotion we just stepped into. It is a time of repentance but also acceleration in our destinies and double portion.
Tribe of Israel (Conventional): Ephraim Note: As Joseph’s tribe was split between Manasseh and Ephraim, that is Joseph’s inheritance (Joshua 16:4).
Gemstone in Aaron’s breastplate for Levi: Emerald Green Note: Levi was of the original 12 tribes, but the Lord told them they had to share in the inheritance (Deuteronomy 18:1); so when we look at what month is pertinent to each gemstone, we give Levi a gemstone but not a month.
Constellation in Sky/Hebrew name: Libra/Moznayim
Note from Peterwill:
To give you a flavour of Candice’s amazing book “365 Prophetic Revelations From The Hebrew Calendar” I selected one day from each Hebrew month – the seventh day. The number seven symbolizes completion and perfection, especially associated with God’s creation and rest on the seventh day.
