HESHVAN – Month of no feasts
Heshvan (Cheshvan) is the second month of the civil year and the eighth month on the religious calendar from Nisan. The Babylonia name is Bul. It is referred to as bitter because there are no feasts or fasts.
1 Kings 6:38 (NIV): “In the eleventh year in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the temple was finished in all its details according to its specifications. He had spent seven years building it.”
Tribe of Israel (Conventional): Manasseh
Note: As Joseph’s tribe was split between with Manasseh and Ephraim, that is Joseph’s inheritance (Joshua 16:4).
Gemstone in Aaron’s breastplate for Joseph: Onyx
Note: Joseph was of the original 12 tribes but the Lord split his inheritance between Ephraim and Manasseh (Joshua 16:4); so when we look at what month is pertinent to each gemstone, we give Joseph a gemstone but not a month.
Constellation in Sky/Hebrew name: Scorpio/Akrab
Note from Peterwill:
To give you a flavour of Candice’s amazing book “365 Prophetic Revelations From The Hebrew Calendar” I selected one day from each Hebrew month – the seventh day. The number seven symbolizes completion and perfection, especially associated with God’s creation and rest on the seventh day.
