All around the waves were crashing
as water kept on hitting and splashing
Over and over my head
My body under weighty water gushing
The rising river violently rushing
when right about then He said:
“Come my love, come away with me
to a secret place inside a deep blue sea
Let me drown out the noise on the surface
As we go deeper,
Let’s go deeper”
Soon the surface rose higher
Like a glory canopy growing wider
light and noise grew still and darker still
descending further and deeper until
All I could see was the fire in his eyes
Lighting up the darkest watery skies
Feeling the pressure of fierce love
Covering all of me
below, besides, above
The quiet force of all of Him
Pressing my heart
to go deeper,
let’s go deeper still
