To do a thing with or without the skill,
Pecking away, adjusting here and there;
Honing it in, adjusting even still,
Looking it over in the open air.
The finished product, however finished
Telling the tale of author, creator,
Over a lifetime, the later diminish,
Lesser projects submit to the greater.
Simple to beauty, sanctifying shifts,
When he ascended, Christ doled out the gifts.
