Placed a flower over my buried remains,
silent musings once unsettling, providing peace.
Joyful passion experienced, reflecting upon a journey’s end,
burning dross in the Lord’s fire, becoming a symbol of His perfection.

Today’s a great day for a funeral…..

The casting away of flesh, discarding the nature of sin,
the enemy mourns my absence, despises this newness.
Truth has replaced the inauthentic demonic messages,
its prevalence used to make me captive,
laughed as I tried to operate in my own strength,
my resistance futile.

My accusers eulogize me…..

Speak evil of my conversion, deem my new life worthless,
my path destructive to this ”peaceful” prison environment,
some say relapse all but certain.
Waiting in the darkness for my light to extinguish
so they can distinguish me among the lawless,
cause me to forsake my call to come out from among them
and be ye separate.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so……

Standing over the buried, broken remains,
transformed by the power of Christ renewing my mind.
Rewarded, blessed to trade in my darkness for light,
a blind man regaining sight.
Under my feet are the promises of God,
my residence built on The Rock,
Christ the Chief Cornerstone of my foundation,
the wings behind my flight…..

Same time tomorrow?
