HIDDEN FRUIT

Psalm 139:7-10 (KJV).
“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your Presence? If I ascend into Heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in sheol behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your Hand shall lead me, And Your Right Hand shall hold me.”

You came and found me
A passionate love so complete
I could not hide
I tried
To escape Your Arms

Running wild
I thought I was free
That You never knew me
And could never find me

Then You caught me
When I wasn’t looking
Your Arms held on tight
I could not fight

Your Love overpowered me
It shone so bright
It’s unbearable beam saw me
As I struggled to be free

It had captured me
Raptured me
Before I could leave
In its Lover’s Kiss I drowned

Such anguished joy
Burned through my heart
As I tasted this fruit
I knew I could not ever leave

I can not speak
Of this Love Divine
It cuts too deep
And shows my shame

Above it all
He rides again
Closer than a lover
Pulling me in

Then He takes me Home
To be with Him
In a Paradise
Once lost
But now forever sewn within.
