Theme: The Power Of Sacrifice

SACRIFICE is a form of giving.

Offering means giving out of Abundance,

Donation means giving out of Abundance.

When it comes to sacrifice, it doesn’t matter how much you gave, it doesn’t matter the quantity of what you gave. What matters is the quality of your giving. (was it given out of Abundance? Because you have plenty to sustain you? Or you just gave out the fatest of what you have).

Illustrations:  A rich man who has $1,000,000 in his bank account, just gave out $800,000. This is a sacrifice because he gave almost all he had or gave the fatest of what he had.

A poor man who has $500 in his bank account, just gave out $400. Yes! He didn’t give up to what the rich man gave, but he also gave almost all he had. That is Sacrifice.

In other words,

Sacrifice means giving the fatest of your crop or the greatest from what you have. In Genesis 4:3-5, concerning Cane and Abel.

Abel brought the firstling of his flocks and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and his offering.

N.B. The Lord respect his sacrifice because he gave the fatest of his flock.

HOW MEN MOVE THE HAND OF GOD THROUGH SACRIFICE

Sacrifice is a Life beyond mortality.

The Nature of devil is a Nature of self, but the Nature of God is a Nature of Love.

If you want to Live like God, you have to firstly Live the life of sacrifice because sacrifice is the first component of Love (Remember God is Love).

Living a sacrificial Life gives you Authority in the spirit realm to move the hands of God. Like what Abraham did in Genesis 22:2-12. Because Abraham didn’t hesitate to sacrifice his only son Isaac, he moved the Hand of God. In Genesis 22:16-18, the Lord also swore to Bless him and his generation.

During the days of King Hezekiah in Isaiah 38:1-6, when King Hezekiah was sick unto death, God sent Prophet Isaiah unto him, to say unto him “thou shall die and not live”. But Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall and remembered unto the Lord how He walked with him.. When the prophet was about to leave, God said unto him, “go and say to Hezekiah, I have heard thy prayers and will add unto thy days fifteen years. (Hezekiah moved the hand of God because he went the way of sacrifice,- even though God has concluded that he shall die).

Before the world could be saved, Jesus sacrificed himself.

John 1:1-14 – selected verses why Jesus gave his Life;

4: In him was Life; and the Life was the Light of men.

5: And the Light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

9: That was the true Light, which Lighted every man that cometh unto the world

10: He was in the world, and the world was made by him and the world knew him not.

God knows that the only way to save the world is to send the Light to sacrifice and give every man new Life.

When Jesus was thirty, in Matthew 3:13-16. And he was Baptised. (A creator coming under the laws of creation)

In Matthew 4:1-11, he was also lead by the Holy spirit to the wilderness to be tempted. God should not be tempted (Deuteronomy 6:16)

But He stoop for mankind to be saved.

It’s a Life beyond mortality and mortal men cannot live the Life of Sacrifice.
